Wasp and Hornet Removal
in Wausau & Central WI
A nest near the front door or deck can make everyday activities uncomfortable. Our wasp and hornet service starts with identifying the insect and understanding the nest location so treatment addresses the activity without unnecessary disturbance.
Free estimates do not include on-site inspections.
Visible and concealed nest concerns
Paper wasps, hornets, and yellowjackets can nest in different places: exposed structures, sheltered eaves, wall spaces, or the ground. A nest in a wall requires a different assessment from a visible nest under an overhang.
We discuss access, treatment, and whether physical nest removal is appropriate and included. Concealed nests or difficult heights can affect the scope. Bees require a different approach; let us know if you are unsure what insect you have rather than disturbing it for a closer look.
Activity that needs attention
- Repeated flights into a siding gap or wall opening
- A paper-like nest under eaves or in a tree
- Stinging insects emerging from a ground opening
- Heavy activity beside doors, play areas, or walkways
What to expect from service
Identify from a distance
Tell us where activity is occurring. A photo taken from a safe distance may help, but do not approach an active nest.
Assess and treat
We evaluate the nest site and choose an approach suited to the insect, access, and surroundings.
Discuss next steps
We explain expected activity after treatment and whether nest removal or property repairs are needed.
Leave active nests undisturbed
Keep children and pets away, avoid mowing near a suspected ground nest, and do not plug an active entry hole in siding. Keep outdoor food and trash covered. If a sting causes trouble breathing or another severe reaction, seek emergency medical help immediately.
